Kalu Sent Off, Simon, Esiti In Action As Gent Lose Vs Anderlecht

Nigerian forward Samuel Kalu was sent off for Gent who lost 1-0 away to Anderlecht in a Belgian top flight clash on Tuesday.

Also in action for Gent were Kalu’s Nigerian teammates Moses Simon and Anderson Esiti who both played 90 minutes.

Kalu was shown a second yellow card after first going into the referee’s book in the 34th minute.

The only goal of the game was scored by Sofiane Hanni in the 77th minute which saw Gent suffer their first defeat after going six straight league games (five wins, one draw) without defeat.

Gent are now fourth on 32 points in the Belgian top flight league table.
