The home-based Super Eagles team gearing up for next month’s CHAN tournament in Morocco has recorded another big miss as Enyinba star, Chima Akas has quit the team.
Akas it is understood is pursuing a deal with an unnamed Swedish club where he has already undergone trials.
Assistant captain Akas was conspicuously absent when the home-based Eagles beat non-league side Water FC by a lone goal at the FIFA Goal Project in Abuja.

“He has been asked to return to the Swedish club he earlier went on trials at,” a team official was quoted as saying on SCORENigeria.
Before now, another key player in the CHAN Eagles, Afeez Aremu had opted for a move to Norway at the expense of playing in the CHAN 2018 tournament.
While Aremu has promptly being replaced, it is understood that Coach Salisu Yusuf is still finding a capable replacement to fill the void created by Akas’ departure from the Eagles camp.
